One Person Reported Dead after Officer Involved Shooting in Lompoc

UPDATE-According to a statement released by the Lompoc Police Department,
officers responded just before 9:00 am to a report of shots fired in the 200
block of South I Street in Lompoc.
When officers arrived they were confronted by the armed suspect. Two officers
fired their weapons, fatally striking the suspect.
Prior to being shot by the officers, the suspect shot two other victims. Both
were transported to Lompoc Hospital and were treated for their injuries.
At this time, the Lompoc Police Department is not releasing the names of anyone
involved.
A press conference will be held at 3:00 pm today in front of the Lompoc Police
Department.

One man is dead after what is reported to be an officer involved shooting in
Lompoc.
First reports came in around 9:30 am this morning about police activity in the
200 block of South I Street, after a man reportedly fired a gun at a woman who
was parked in front of his house.  The woman and another man who lives nearby
were injured, while the man with a gun was reportedly shot and killed by police.
South I Street was closed off at West Cypress Avenue as an investigation
continues.  No injuries to police officers were reported.
