Information Now with Ben Heighes: Monday-Friday, 6am-9am

I am currently the News Director of KUHL/KSMA radio and have been since 1993. I have been at the radio station since 1992.

I have worked for many area radio stations since the age of 17 including my first job at KSMA radio in Santa Maria, and eventually moving on to an FM shift on KSNI Radio. I then worked for KRQK Radio in Lompoc from 1989-1990, and then for KXFM radio from 1990 to 1991. I also worked for KMGQ radio in Santa Barbara and KSTT radio in San Luis Obispo before taking my current position (When we were known as KUHL/KTME radio.)

I am a lifelong Santa Barbara County resident having been born in Santa Barbara in 1970. I attended 8th grade at El Camino Junior High School in Santa Maria in 1983 and '84 and graduated from Santa Maria High School in 1988.

I have been married for over three years to my lovely wife Jennie and we have three kids, our labrador retriever "Sasha", and our two cats "Tootsie" and "Lizzie".

As many of you know, I am a huge movie fan and see at least 100 movies a year in the theatres. I also love music and have a large CD and record collection.

I am currently the host of "Information Now" which airs 6 to 9am Monday through Friday in addition to working afternoon drive with hourly news updates and I still love coming to work everyday!!
