THE REVERSE 9-1-1 SYSTEM IN SANTA BARBARA COUNTY IS UNDERGOING SOME UPGRADES... THE SYSTEM HAS BEEN USED IN MAJOR EMERGENCIES INCLUDING DURING THE GAP, TEA AND JESUSITA FIRE TO NOTIFY PEOPLE WHEN IT WAS TIME TO EVACUATE.. SHERIFFS SGT. TOM WALTON SAYS, BEFORE THE SYSTEM WOULD ONLY CALL LANDLINES.. RESIDENTS CAN NOW REGISTER ON THE 9-1-1- PHONE SYSTEM BY CREATING A PASSWORD PROTECTED ACCOUNT WHERE YOU CAN EDIT AND UPDATE YOUR OWN INFORMATION.. FOR DETAILS LOG ONTO WWW.SBSHERIFF.ORG..
