SANTA BARARA COUNTY SUPERVISORS ARE A STEP CLOSER TO HAVING A BALANCED BUDGET FOR THE NEXT FISCAL YEAR.. FOR THE PAST FEW WEEKS, SUPERVISORS HAVE BEEN HEARING FROM VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS ON HOW THEY COULD SCALE BACK IN WAKE OF A $ 40 MILLION DOLLAR DEFICIT.. SUPERVISOR JONI GRAY SAYS ALL FIVE BOARD MEMBERS PROVIDED STAFF DETAILS ON WHICH CUTS THEY COULD SUPPORT.. COUNTY STAFF IS EXPECTED TO RETURN WITH A BALANCED BUDGET FOR THE BOARD TO VOTE ON IN JUNE..
