Reward Offered for Shell Beach Road Vandalism

A $1,000 REWARD IS BEING OFFERED FOR INFORMATION LEADING TO THE ARREST AND/OR CONVICTION OF THOSE RESPONSIBLE FOR VANDALISM AT SEVERAL LOCATIONS ALONG SHELL BEACH ROAD. LAST SUNDAY, A PISMO BEACH POLICE OFFICER DISCOVERED THAT SOMEONE HAD PUSHED OVER LARGE CEMENT TRASH BINS, RIPPED OUT IRRIGATION LINES, AND DAMAGED PLANTERS AND BENCHES AT 10 DIFFERENT LOCATIONS BETWEEN THE 300 AND 1500 BLOCKS OF SHELL BEACH ROAD. THE TRASH BINS WERE PAINTED AND DECORATED BY LOCAL ARTISTS WHO DONATED THEIR TIME AND MATERIALS. DAMAGE ESTIMATES HAVE BEEN PLACED AT $1,500. ANYONE WITH INFORMATION IS ASKED TO CALL THE PISMO BEACH POLICE DEPARTMENT AT 773-2208 OR CRIME STOPPERS AT 549-STOP.
