The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department has announced the arrest of a wanted fugitive in Universal City. In March of this year, felony warrants totalling $300,000 from Santa Barbara and Santa Clara counties were issued for Jerrell Yearego related to fraud and false impersonation of another. Since that time, there was inforamtion that Yearego was staying at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, but he managed to elude arrest. On Wednesday, the Sheriff's Office received an anonymous tip from a caller who said they saw information about Yearego on the Sheriff's Department "Top Ten Active Warrants" webpage and they believed Yearego was staying at the Universal City Hilton, where he was arrested in his room. Yearego was booked into Los Angeles County Jail and was awaiting transportation back to Santa Barbara County Jail.
