Arraignment for Corona, California Man Charged with Kidnapping and Molesting Teen in Vandenberg Village is Continued
A man from Corona, California accused of kidnapping and molesting a teenage girl in Vandenberg Village was in a Santa Maria courtroom for his arraignment on Wednesday. 47 year old Saul Padilla was arrested after a routine traffic stop back in January, after he and the victim met over the internet and Padilla pretended to be a 15 year old boy before the two agreed to meet. Deputy District Attorney Brooke Gerard tells KCOY CBS 12 and the Information Station that Padilla is being held in county jail with bail set at $1.2 million dollars.
Padilla did not enter a plea, and the judge agreed to give his defense attorney more time to review the case, so the arraignment was continued until Wednesday, August 22nd.
