SLO County Grand Jury Pushing for Action Against Medicinal Marijuana Dispensaries

The San Luis Obispo County Grand Jury is pushing county and local governments to take more action against medicinal marijuana dispensaries, saying while medical marijuana is technically legal in California, the regulation on how it is dispensed in San Luis Obispo County is subjective and inconsistent. The Grand Jury says there is a growing "grey market" that cities like Grover Beach ignore. However, like other cities in the county, Grover Beach has an ordinance prohibiting medical marijuana dispensaries in the city.
The Grand Jury is requesting responses to its report from not only Grover Beach, but Arroyo Grande, Morro Bay and Atascadero as well as the county.
