SOLVANG, Calif. - from KCOY CBS 12 - Santa Barbara County Sheriff Deputies are investigating reports of a dead body found in Solvang.
According to a source, a body was found on the property of the Alisal Guest Ranch and Resort some time Wednesday morning. Central Coast News called the ranch and the general manager refereed all questions about a body found to the Sheriff's Department and said they had no official comment.

UPDATE -- The body of a male subject was found early Wednesday morning in the lake area of the Alisal Guest Ranch. Sheriff’s Office detectives, coroner investigators, and members of the dive team responded to recover the decedent and attempt to identify him.
The decedent was discovered at about 8:15am by an employee of the Alisal Guest Ranch during a walk around the lake. The Ranch employee then called the Sheriff’s Office to investigate.
Sheriff’s Coroner investigators are in the process of identifying the body and will then notify the next of kin. The decedents name will be released once the next of kin is notified.
