Grass Fire in Atascadero Contained after Threatening One Structure

Crews have contained a grass fire in the 6000 block of Rocky Canyon Road east of Atascadero. The first report came in just before 2:00 pm on Wednesday and the fire was initially reported at two acres and was threatening one structure before crews got the upper hand. Personnel from the Atascadero Fire Department, Cal Fire and Atascadero State Hospital, all consisting of about 70 people, were on scene. The fire is believed to have been started by a downed power line.
