Man Who Set Himself on Fire in Arroyo Grande Dies from Injuries
The man who police say set himself on fire in Arroyo Grande has died from his injuries. 50 year old James Noble Cocks who lived in Arroyo Grande died at the Sherman Oaks Burn Center on Tuesday night after suffering severe burns. Witnesses reported seeing the man fully engulfed in flames Monday running on the historic swinging bridge before collapsing near a tree. Several citizens came to his aid before paramedics and other emergency personnel arrived on scene. Police say the investigation has been determined a suicide as result of evidence at the scene and statements made by witnesses and family members.
