Brian Reid

Formal charges have been filed against an Orcutt resident for a shooting that killed his father and left a woman believed to be his mother critically injured. 40 year old Brian Keith Reid has been charged with first degree murder and personal use of a firearm for the death of 73 year old William Reid Monday at Orcutt Community Park during a family barbecue on Monday. He is also charged with first degree attempted murder, personal use of a firearm and infliction of great bodily injury for shooting 66 year old Pamela Reid who was last reported to be in fair condition in the hospital. Brian Reid fled the scene but was arrested at Marian Regional Medical Center. He was expected to appear in court on Wednesday, but was postponed until September 18th. He remains in county jail with no bail set.
