Student Sentenced to Four Years in State Prison for DUI Crash in Avila Beach that Killed Two People

A judge has sentenced 22 year old Evan Green to four years in state prison for causing a drunk driving crash that killed two of his passengers and left a third injured. Green, who attended Chico State University pleaded no contest to a number of charges including gross vehicular manslaughter. drunken driving and being an unlicensed driver relating to the crash in June of last year near the Avila Beach Golf Resort which killed 21 year old Aaron Beaver of Eureka and Marcus Nelson of Castro Valley. 21 year old Jacob Zimmer of Castro Valley was severely injured. Green repeatedly apologized to family members of the deceased victims in court during this week's sentencing.
