Scholarship Fund Set Up for Children of Local Physician Killed in San Luis Obispo
A scholarship fund has been set up for the children of a local physician who was killed after being hit by a semi truck while riding his bicycle in San Luis Obispo on Wednesday. Dr. Damian Horstman joined the staff at Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in 2008 and served the past two years as Vice Chief of Staff and was chair of the anesthesia department. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer, of Pismo Beach, and two sons, 2 and 4 years old. Donations can be made by check or in person at any Founders Community Bank branch and should be made payable to the Damian Horstman Memorial Fund. The address is 863 Marsh Street, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401. Memorial services for Dr. Horstman are pending.
