There is a new plan to restore the Lompoc Theater on North H Street. Brian Cole is a local music shop owner and heads up the Lompoc Theater Project. He tells KCOY CBS 12 and the Information Station that he has plans to run the theater modeled after an arts and economic study of Traverse City, Michigan and Redbank, New Jersey which, after restoring their theaters, generated sales volumes in the millions of dollars annually. Cole says he hopes to establish the Lompoc Theater Project as a non profit group so he can begin collecting donations to begin fixing up the theater.
