Rally Planned Today in San Luis Obispo in Support of Proposition 30 Relating to Education and Public Safety on the November Ballot

Community leaders are gathering in San Luis Obispo today to show their support for Proposition 30 on the November ballot in California. If passed, it would increase personal income tax on annual earnings over $250,000 for 7 years, increases the sales and use tax by one quarter-cent for four years and guarantees funding for public safety services realligned from state to local governments. Dr. Julian Crocker, San Luis Obispo County Superintendent of Schools, John Ashbaugh from the San Luis Obispo City Council, teachers, students and concerned community members are all expected to gather today at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo to rally in support of Prop 30 starting at 3:30 pm.
