Man’s Body Discovered in Cayucos

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Department is investigating the discovery of a man's body in Cayucos. Just after 6:00 am on Tuesday, the wife of 68 year old David Woodruff from Merced reported that he was missing after not returning to his hotel room in Cayucos following a trip to the store. Just after 7:00 am, passersby walking on the beach discovered a body at the end of South 3rd Street and it was confirmed to be that of Woodruff. The official cause of death is under investigation but foul play is not suspected at this time.
