Firefighters in San Luis Obispo were busy on Wednesday. They responded to a structure reported to be a shed and a tractor on fire just before 1:30 pm. This was off of Huasna Road and Branch Mill Road East of Arroyo Grande. Some vegetation also burned. About 25 personnel worked to contain the fire which started when a bee smoker overheated, catching the shed on fire. No injuries were reported.
Around noontime on Wednesday, a 2 1/2 acre vegetation fire broke out along Highway 101 southbound across from the Laeticia Winery south of Arroyo Grande. About 50 personnel responded there and the fire was contained just before 1:00 pm. A hot chunk of metal from a passing vehicle's catalytic converter started the fire.
