Woman Suffers Major Injuries after Being Hit by Vehicle While Riding Her Bicycle in Santa Barbara
A Santa Barbara woman suffers major injuries after being hit by a vehicle. Police resonded around 7:30 pm on Tuesday to the area of Milpas and Quintientos Streets and found Coleen Devine-King, who was in the road and severely injured. She had been struck by a Dodge Challenger driven by 21 year old Luis Torres of Santa Barbara who was traveling northbound in the number two lane. At the time of the collision, police say Devine-King was riding her bicycle on the wrong side of the road. She was last reported to be at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital being treated for life threatening injuries. Police are awaiting toxicology results on the woman as their investigation into the collision continues.
